Daily Schedule
Below is the schedule that is followed on a typical day at school. The program is flexible in order to meet the interests and needs of each child, each group of children, and to utilize spontaneous learning situations.
9:00 - 9:25 Arrival, greeting, sharing, planning.
Child selected work & play activities; block building,
painting, dramatic play, housekeeping, puzzles,
books individual and group games, play dough, etc.
9:25 – 9:55 Centers which may include art activities, writing,
science and math.
9:55 – 10:00 Clean up.
10:00 - 10:30 Teacher directed circle time: Songs, rhymes, finger
plays, creative dramatizations, literature, and
science experiments, math activities, discussions and stories.
10:30 - 10:45 Hand washing and toileting. Prayer and snack.
10:45 - 11:10 Outdoor play using large muscle equipment, balls, etc.
Or active indoor play using balls, tumbling mats, balance beam and movement to
music.
11:10 - 11:30 Closing Circle including story, review of day's activities, preparations for departure
The 4+ extended day class follows a modified version of this schedule.
